It’s getting away from me…

The idea is spreading, shamefully from a need to coral the art, and thereby the artist- rather than free him or her… Check the press, this post by an esteemed endorser of Graffitti Park, Mr. John Eger.

Been a while, but there are still cases for Graffitti Park…

See what I’m sayin’? Revok- Arrested, 300k bail

Bottom line- There is no future in Graffiti without a cause, an idea, a change like Graffitti Park!

Well, unless you want to have your travel plans come to a screeching halt as you are led out of a public place in handcuffs and thrown in jail- Have you ever been processed? I’m asking all you whipper snappers out there who think it’s cool to go bombing- as long as you haven’t been caught, or hurt trying to get away. Well it’s no fun I can tell you. And as the world changes, because believe me, it will with or without my GP idea coming into fruition- there will be less resources available to artists who have gone the vandal way and acquired themselves a criminal record. Just as is the case for a job in the professional world now.  Don’t think it’s changing? Check out the mission statement of one, 5pointz in NYC. No longer just promoting graffiti- but looking to become a non-profit and teach classes. I should have kept a closer look to see if by some chance GP had something to do with these changes- but never the less it’s still a positive change so I can’t knock it.

Eventually, there will be a base for Graffiti Art like the one I propose in Graffitti Park- but at what cost if it’s left to the pace it’s been going at since the 1970′s???

Until I can give it a jumpstart- I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Good luck to Revok. Hopefully kids coming up will learn from his mistakes.
